HURM… quite frustrated when resident evil 5 cannot be played becoz of e_fail:xliveinitialize error when try to start the games… i also try to search and try some of the solution in the internet but, cannot solve the problem…
i try to think outside of the box…
it say that, xliveinitialize error… hurm.. it mean that, it cannot start the xlive program…
what have i done is , i try to change the name of the XLIVE. DLL to XLIVESTART.DLL …
It working. so now, i can play the resident evil 5 game.
so try it out. maybe it help all of you…

how to save the game?
1)go to windows live in the game
2) click “yes, ready to participate ”
3)create a new profile
4) scroll down and click create a local profile
5)enter your name
that it. you can now save resident evil 5 game.
This item should be in your program file>capcom>resident evil 5

Sudah bro saya sudah instal x live dan sudah berhasil login di x live tapi anehnya game ini tetep ga bisa jalan dan sudah saya rubah file xlive.dll menjadi xlivestart.dll tapi malah muncul eror canot fine xlive.dll mohon di bantu bro dah buntu nih ga bisa mainin ini game trus erornya e_fail : xlive initialize eror (&xii)

@dwilion -mungkin ada file yang hilang. cuba kamu hantar print screen files resident evil 5 kamu.
kamu buka my computer> local disk c> program file > capcom> resident evil 5.
lepas kamu klik resident evil 5 tu, print screen kan, and hantarkan kat email akhihafiz@aol.com .
saya nak compare kan file yang kamu ada dengan file yang saya ada.

Dear all finaly i found the problem all you need is traying to clean the sysytem by scan it by antivirus kaspersky updated recomended in this case coz when i scan all over the system i found many virus and after that taaraaaaaaa magicly the game run well 😀 and when i upgrade to win 7 ultimate the game was able to run on dx 10 system

kamu dah download and install games for windows live? kalau sudah install, kamu kena tukarkan nama xlive.dll kepada xlivestart.dll . baru lah kamu dapat main games tersebut. dan kamu kena pastikan semua item yang sepatutnya ada didalam file tersebut , mesti ada jugak didalam file kamu.

untuk barang yang tidak wujud dalam folder kamu ,
1) kena install dulu games for windows live
2) cari .dll file di google, lepas tu, masok kan file tersebut didalam folder resident evil 5
3) lepas semua sudah ada, tukarkAN xlive.dll kepada xlivestart.dll

resident evil tu memang slalunya akan dapat dimainkan dalam directx 9 . directx 10 ,saya x dapat main. direct 9 sahaja boleh main games tersebut. masalah kamu tu, xlive.dll yang bermasalah. kamu tukarkan xlive.dll kepada xlivestart.dll . jangan lupa install games for windows live . ^^

buat VivaldyIN saya bantu sedikit copy file xlive.dll dari folder windows\system32 kemudian copy file tersebut and paste ke folder resident evil 5 kamu, lepas tu Rename file xlive.dll ke xlivestart.dll. catatan : jagan rename file xlive.dll yang berada di folder windows\system32 karena dia akan muncul pesan erorr. semoga ini membantu

menurut saya masalah2 e_fail xlive tdk berhubungan dengan versi2 terbaru microsoft games for windows live dan net.framework , karena saya menggunakan veri lama microsoft games for windows live versi 2.0 dan net.frame work versi 2.0 sp 2. terkecuali dimainkan secara online mungkin bermasalah.

already installed the lattest GFWL and .net framework, also did put d3d9.dll , enbseries.ini, msidcrl40.dll and then also put xlive.dll and xlivestart.dll and xinput1_3.dll and it’s still not working.

what windows do you use right now? after you launch the game , it say choose between direct x 9 or 10. chose direct x9 . try to see whether the game can play or not.

thanks for replying so quick. i use windows xp sp 3 and i use directx 9c and then upgraded it to direct10, i did choose d9 to play. and another question regarding GFWL, i try to connect it, but application error pop out and says “The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b).” I’m confused.

I tried this, coz before i have the same problem (E_Fail : Xlive fail blabla)..
I’ve tried all of your methods, n i’ve already copied that 4 files.
But now i have another problem, when i start the launcher, both direct 9 n 10 have the same problem, “RE 5 has stopped working” n needed to be closed..
here is my question, i downloaded the enb series in the official enb web, in the description they say that if i want to instal it, i have to remove the dxd9 or dxd10 in my system folder, but in my sys already have those both files. My question is, do i have to delete that dxd9 n dxd10 from my sys in order to play the game?
help me find the solution TT,, thanks a lot b4.

1) do not delete dxd9 and dxd10.
2) if its say “RE5 has stop working, there should be a problem with your system – like viruses, not enough RAM to play the game and so on. can you try out to scan your system with Kaspersky antivirus?
